Classes

We typically have 5 classes throughout the year, not including Freestyle & Greco classes between Mid-March, through Mid-July (after Fargo Nationals)

Tots and Fundamentals class is for 4-years-old and up. It is introductory, fundamental positions, exercise, calisthenics, mini-bootcamps, some gymnastic development, proper stretching, mindset strategies, wrestling games and Live Wrestling. Ages in this class usually don’t go past 8 or 9 years old. We go on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm – 5:30pm

75U Class is for athletes 75lbs and under. It is a faster pace and a more rigorous level of training than Tots & Fundamentals Class, as well as more developed positions. We go Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:45pm. Students are also welcome to come to “Open Mats” on Sundays from 12pm to 1:30pm and work on whatever they want to practice. If you come on Sundays, you must work, as it’s not a hang out. Parents are NOT PERMITTED on the mat, wrestlers and coaches only! No exceptions!
For Sundays, please always check our online calendar ahead of time @ www.rednosewrestling.com/calendar to confirm that we are not closed for a holiday or tournament, etc. Calendar is always the most current info.

Over 75lbs is for athletes anywhere between 75lbs – 115lbs. I added this class as a lighter HS Class. The High School Class began to grow, and I was worried about the older, yet lighter athletes getting landed on and hurt. I develop these athletes at a National Level pace. I have since included some younger wrestlers who have developed to a more Elite Youth Level. Older beginners are very welcome in this class. They catch-on much faster than people may think. If they are over 115, yet younger, I may also include them in this class. We go Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:45pm – 8:00pm. Students are also welcome to come to “Open Mats” on Sundays from 1:30pm – 3:00pm and work on whatever they want to practice.

HS & ELITE CLASS is a very fast paced and rigorous version of everything already listed. I push this class hard and prepare them for National Level Competition, especially off-season.

Note for HS Wrestlers ONLY-
While In-Season, I do not expect them to wrestle at the same pace or BootCamp. They are already pushed hard by their HS Coaches. In-Season the HS athletes come for positional reinforcement, drilling at their own pace, getting a workout in the back gym, stretching, foam rolling, getting a sweat going if need be and shadow wrestling. The goal is to get them to maximize their potential. Wrestlers who typically make it into the Post-Season and further, are wrestlers who commit to a wrestling school/club DURING the Season. Time management and prioritizing responsibilities is extremely important and a good skill to develop if college wrestling is a plan for the future. Middle School athletes in this class will get pushed hard all-year-long!!!

We go Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00pm – 9:30pm. Students are also welcome to come to “Open Mats” on Sundays from 1:30pm – 3:00pm and work on whatever they want to practice.

STRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM is a separate program altogether and is not part of regular membership. If interested in this program, please reach out to me. Wrestling specific strength training includes all aspects of development, including speed drills, balance drills, hand/eye coordination work, developing motor-sensory skills and soup-to-nuts development for a complete wrestler.

If/when you message us, PLEASE always include your name and info, not just a random question with no name, info or greeting. I like to know who I am communicating with and I prefer to save the contact if applicable. It’s my personal cell and I’ll always message you with a courteous message, please do the same. Thank you.

Once the wrestler has completed the Trial Class, if it is a good fit for both of us, you can then log into your online account and select the package that works best for you and you can modify your payment method.

REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

Membership begins the day you pay for your plan. You are “auto-billed” each consecutive billing period on the same day of the month, so if you begin your membership on the 17th, you’re auto-billed on the 17th for each auto-renewal.
You will receive advanced notifications before billing happens, so set your calendars and make sure to remove us from “spam” if our messages go to spam. We can discuss credits over certain situations if absolutely necessary, but this should never need to happen. Not showing up to classes is not a reason for a credit. It is posted everywhere that there are no refunds, so please know that you get advanced notifications and to please set your calendars

WRESTLERS WILL NEED:

T-shirt, shorts (without pockets), Wrestling Sneakers (Dicks Sporting Goods, Amazon, etc) and a Headgear.

TO GET ON MY MAT:
Tight Clothes, T-shirt tucked in, Wrestling Sneakers Tied, Headgear (already fitted at home) and on (or with them). Wrestlers MUST always step on my “shoe cleaning pad” (inside my room) when they walk into my room.

Never wear your wrestling sneakers outside. We keep a VERY clean environment in order to avoid skin issues. Street shoes or bare feet are not permitted on my mat. There are rubber sneaker coverings for those who want to put their wrestling sneakers on ahead of time in order to save time. If you need a link for it, please just reach out to me. Children should absolutely wear knee pads. You must wash their gear regularly, in order to prevent any type of skin issue.

Parents, PLEASE do not walk inside my room or block the entry door to watch your wrestler come in. They will be fine. They are in a very safe environment. If you need to speak to me or advise me of something, etc…, please just reach out ahead of time, just send me a message. Wrestlers & Coaches ONLY on my mats. This is an insurance thing, it is not personal.

NO:
Jewelry, pockets, buttons, zippers, baggy clothes, etc…

We expect our athletes and coaches to be sanitary, wear deodorant if necessary and not be offensive. If they are, we have to let them know and I don’t want to embarrass anyone.

We expect our athletes to be respectful towards everyone and be able to follow directions.

If new parents are caught recruiting other parents in the lobby, to another club they attend, you will be asked to leave immediately. Yes this happens. It is weird, classless and extremely uncomfortable for everyone, so if this applies, please stay home.

Make an effort to be able to tie your shoes and please make an effort to know left, from right

Go to the bathroom before you come and after practice. Obviously it happens sometimes, but let’s do our best to remain on the mats with our partners while we are at practice. Let’s not make going to the bathroom during class a regular thing unless there is an issue I should be made aware of, then obviously that is not going to be a problem.

Class isn’t hours long, it goes by very quickly. If the temperature is extreme or they are going extremely hard, we will give them a water break, but be used to drinking water before and after practices. Stopping for water breaks leaves partners hanging and it’s difficult to get them back into whatever we were doing once their bellies are full of water. I do not torture my athletes. If they are looking or feeling dehydrated, I will send them to get water, however please be in the habit of hydrating before and after practice.

Once a wrestler is on the mat, they should remain on the mat. Unless there is an emergency, we need everyone on the mat. Getting up to go to the bathroom, or just head to the lobby, etc.., is not okay. This is more of a safety (and respect) thing, than anything. If a wrestler needs to leave early for whatever reason, just give me a heads up and that will never be an issue.

Parents are not permitted to coach their children from the side or record practices. We are a wrestling family and on each other’s team. We are not recording to prepare to beat our wrestling partners.

Please remember to look at the 2 schedules. One schedule is from July to March and the other one is from March to July.

We look forward to working with and developing your wrestler!
